Technically, the auto bailout wasn’t a success, unless you consider “success” to mean “paying back government money with other government money.” Plus, we lost millions. And we basically left General Motors in the position of having to build an electric car that occasionally explodes without warning in order to placate the bizarre tastes of people in power. And we basically sold Chrysler to Fiat.
But whatever.
What. You didn’t think that we were going to get through the campaign without a blanket promise to throw money at people, did you? This is a campaign. And I want a new car. Foreign, preferably.
