Joe Biden proves continued total uselessness of Joe Biden

THE END OF FREEDOM IS NIGH! OBAMA IS ABOUT TO CONFISCATE AMERICA’S GUNS! HOARD ALL THE PIZZA AND CANNED PEACHES YOU CAN GET YOUR HANDS ON. THERE ARE TWENTY FOUR EXECUTIVE PROCLAMATIONS THAT WILL PUT AN END TO THE…yeah, Joe Biden put this together.

Obama’s overarching four-point gun violence reduction plan, which he will address as he issues the actions, is even more aggressive.  It proposes requiring criminal background checks for all gun sales, returning to a 10-round limit on ammunition clips, strengthening a ban on all assault weapons, and banning armor-piercing bullets.

Other actions and proposals address school safety and mental health initiatives, including funding for more school counselors and crisis training for school officials, and expanding treatment for young adults with mental health issues.

The action points, according to senior White House officials, were the result of 22 different meetings with 220 various organizations and 31 elected officials since the Newtown shootings.

You can get the full list of the 23 potential executive orders here, but suffice it to say it’s a lot of harshly-worded letters, maximization of efforts, clarifications and national dialogues – all the kinds of things bureaucrats do when they have an idea about what they want to do about an issue, but can’t execute that idea because there’s really no grassroots support for reform. This is mostly an exercise in futility, which will result in any meaningful “gun violence safety” legislation pun-intendedly dying on the floor of Congress in full view of whoever cares enough to randomly tune into C-SPAN. Which will, in turn, allow Obama to place the blame for any further firearm victimization on the GOP.

The good news is, despite the utter toothlessness of the proposed EOs and regulations, they will all cost Americans and additional $4.5 billion dollars to enforce. So, despite not having any popular support for whatever it was Joe Biden spent the last month in charge of, they still came up with an efficient and heartfelt way to spend money, and if you don’t like, well, then, you clearly hate the children. Because won’t you think of the children. Of course, if Congress is crazy enough to pass an assault weapons and “high-capacity magazine” ban (whatever the f**k that means, other than the possibility that you may be unable to get your AR-15 with a pistol grip), it’ll cost Americans an estimated $45 billion, so fully expect them to at least consider it.
